Merriam Webster defines kindness as “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate”. What better way to spend a day than carrying out acts of kindness for everyone – family, co-workers, and even random strangers.

Here are some incredible ideas that you could do for others:

  • *Donate food, toys, or treats to a local animal shelter or pet adoption enterprise
  • *Pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t heard from in ages
  • *Pay for the person behind you in the drive through
  • *Compliment a total stranger on their clothing, hair, etc…
  • *Don’t take the prime parking space – leave it for someone else
  • *Put an anonymous card / note on someone’s desk at work
  • *Smile at everyone you come across
  • *Send mysterious flowers to someone who’d never expect it was from you
  • *Have your child write a note to his/her teacher
  • *Stick smiley face stickers in random places like public restroom mirrors
  • *Hold doors open for everyone
  • *Use your manners – say please, thank-you & you’re welcome all day long
  • *Only spread positive posts on social media
  • *Smile and wave at other drivers in rush hour traffic
  • *Leave a very generous tip for a server
  • *Take the day off work and volunteer somewhere
  • *Take your neighbor’s garbage cans in
  • *Bring donuts or baked treats to work
  • *Go to your local park and pick up litter
  • *Brings treats to the fire station, police department, or senior homes
