How to Throw the {Best} Last Pool Party of the Season for your Community

System - Friday, September 2, 2016

Planning the last big pool party of the year for your whole community to enjoy can be a fun and fulfilling experience for all of those involved. As summer comes to an official close, it is important to take the time to slow down one last time before the fall schedule gets too hectic. Whether you're on the social committee or the board of directors in your community, the simplest way to celebrate the beginning of the new season is a final pool party to close out summer! Below are some ideas for a grand pool party everyone can enjoy:

1.Send out invitations so everyone gets involved! These invites can be sent via snail mail, posted as flyers, or sent out as an email blast.

2.Purchase or borrow some fun pool floats to spice up the pool scene. Nowadays, you can find floats in all different shapes and sizes from watermelon to flamingoes to Hawaiian shirts. Not only will the floats help with décor, they can be used again for next year or given away as door prizes in a raffle.

3.Keep it simple when it comes to food. Set up a taco bar or order some pizza from a local joint! Don't forget to pick up a few summer fruits and popsicles for dessert!

The goal to keep in mind is for everyone to have fun! Allow children and teens to splash in the pool while the adults mix and mingle with their neighbors. There is truly no better way to grow together as a community than to bond over the memories the passing summer has brought along!
